For the past 9 years, she has been a member of SCN, Speaking and Consulting Network, started by Linda Miles, and is a writer/editor for the professional magazine Modern Hygienist.
Being an advocate for children’s dental health, Judith describes writing this book to be one of her most important contributions. Her book “Smile Wide Look Inside,” provides a visual tool that can be used to establish a happy relationship between children, parents and dental professionals.
Judith Dember-Paige and Carol J. Manocchi-Verrino have completed a Teachers’ Edition to the dental children’s book, “Smile Wide Look Inside.” Their goals are to introduce children’s dental health as a subject to be part of the already established National curriculum. It will serve to facilitate integration of good dental habits through a literacy-based learning experiences. Crossing socioeconomic and cultural borders will make it possible to give children a dental education, in a classroom setting. Those children whose parents are unable to bring them into a dental office will still learn the importance of good dental health.
